Today in 2015, Nia King published Queer and Trans Artists of Color: Sories of Some Of Our Lives (and coedited with Jessica Glenon-Zukoff and Terra Mikalson), an anthology of conversations between King and sixteen queer and trans artists of color, such as Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, Fabian Romero, and Janet Mock. The Advocate named the anthology one of 2014’s Best Transgender Nonfiction Books. A former Colorlines intern, King also creates film, podcasts, zines, and performs. In an interview with KQED Arts, King says:

You can follow Nia King on Twitter and Goodreads, support her on Patreon, and check out her site and podcast, We Want the Airwaves, where you can also find out more about the artists!

This month only, you can get Queer and Trans Artists of Color: Volume 2 for 25% off!

Or buy from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or BetterWorldBooks.
